Johns Creek teen, Katie Rose Borrello, was recognized for her work and accomplishments for the Catholic community on Saturday, February 25th, along with other teens from around the Archdiocese of Atlanta. The Recognition Day Mass was sponsored by the Atlanta Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women, and honors women and teens each year. This year, Katie Rose was the representative from Saint Brigid Catholic Church in Johns Creek. Katie Rose uses her spirit of giving in many ways at the parish,
Katie Rose serves as a teen leader for the Life Teen program. She welcomes other teens into the program and assists them in their needs. She has participated in many youth ministry retreats and mission trips, always willing to serve and often working behind the scenes. She is also a Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist, a faithful altar server and participates in the training of other servers. In addition, she serves as a faithful mentor in our Special Need ministry. In all that she does, she serves the Saint Brigid faith community with a joyful spirit. In her words and in her actions she gives witness as a true disciple of Christ. She interacts well with her peers and sets a great example for them. She is also greatly appreciated by her Youth Ministry coordinators and core group.
