Nonprofit organization Achieve Greater Success is hosting an information session at the Alpharetta Public Library on Monday, June 26, 4pm that tells how and why prison reform is progressing so well in Georgia.
Dr. Steven Turner, Director of Chaplaincy of the Georgia Department of Corrections, will talk about past, present and future faith- and character-based efforts in Georgia prisons.
Tony Lowden, Manager of Faith & Justice Initiatives of the Georgia Department of Community Supervision, and his team will give an overview of how HEALING COMMUNITIES OF GEORGIA and I CHOOSE SUPPORT mentoring programs work, inviting interested parties to schedule future, in-depth training.
Linary Kingdon, Founder and CEO of Achieve Greater Success, will tell how teaching in 12 schools and 5 prisons led to her resolve to break the school to prison pipeline in Georgia.
