Local Northview High School students, Sanjeev Kumar, Shiva Pawar, and Kush Mitter, started a Nonprofit Organization called WHOLE Fit. Their mission is to educate individuals about the importance of nutrition, wellness, and their physical and mental health as well as to properly implement these values in their daily lives.
They have accomplished this through several different events such as an All-Day Field Day at Shakerag Park for everyone of all ages to come out and play games to stay active while having a fun time. WHOLE Fit has also participated in the International Day of Yoga in Atlanta by setting up a booth and spreading awareness about the importance of daily yoga. Over this past summer, they held WHOLE Fit classes at the Radha Krishna Temple in Duluth to teach children the importance of eating healthy and staying active at a young age. Although being young having started 5 months ago, WHOLE Fit has impacted nearly 1400 people across the community.
They have plans to open chapters in local high schools in the area to reach as many people in the community as possible. For these young visionaries, they have a passion to create a lasting impact on their community to live a happy and healthy life, no matter how big or small.
