JOHNS CREEK, GA (November 14, 2017) – Britton Johnston, Harvey Maughan, and Madison Price, seniors at William & Reed Academy, officially signed to play tennis at the collegiate level.
Britton Johnston signed with The University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. Johnston began playing tennis 13 years ago and trains at the Standard Club in Johns Creek, GA.
Harvey Maughan signed with Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia. Maughan first picked up a tennis racket when he was 9-years-old and trains at Lifetime Tennis Academy in Peachtree Corners, GA. Maughan was born in England and moved to Georgia at the age of 9.
Madison Price signed with Marist College in Dutchess, New York. Price was born and raised in Atlanta, GA and began playing tennis at the age of 7. Price also trains at Lifetime Tennis Academy in Peachtree Corners.
Jessica Taylor, Athletic Director of William & Reed Academy, expressed her sentiment on signing day about these three athletes: “We are so unbelievably proud of everything Madison, Harvey, and Britton have accomplished. Their hard work and dedication are such an inspiration to others, and we wish them nothing but success as they get ready to start their next chapter."
All three athletes competed on William & Reed Academy’s inaugural tennis team in 2017. Johnston and Maughan lead the Boys Varsity Tennis Team to win the school’s first-ever State-Championship. The entire William & Reed family wishes them continued success.
